Finding the source

Water travels before it shows up, so the stain is not always under the leak. We trace it back to the pipe, fixture or drain it is coming from before we open anything.

Common leaks we fix

  • Supply pipes, fittings and shutoff valves
  • Toilets leaking at the base or running into the bowl
  • Taps, shower valves and tub spouts
  • Drain pipes under sinks and inside walls
  • Water heater connections

If the pipe itself is failing, as with old galvanized, lead or Kitec lines, we explain the replacement options too.

If water is pouring out

Shut off the main water valve, usually where the water pipe enters the basement near the meter, and call (416) 489-0000. See emergency plumbing for more steps.
